Flying Chairs will run trauma-informed drama workshops. This means we will approach the workshops with the knowledge that it is likely every person has some degree of trauma, no matter the scale.
We will create a safe space where we build trust and have trigger warnings to prevent anyone from feeling uncomfortable in the workshops. If a child thinks a performance may make them feel uncomfortable from it's trigger warnings, they will have the option to go outside and play a fun game with an assistant facilitator instead.
We understand that drama sessions can be a vulnerable space and it is important to build young people's confidence instead of bringing them down in the workshops.
We have a limited number of spaces for our workshop. We will reserve spaces on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Everyone gets their first two workshops for FREE, then it's £4 per session after this. If you don't enjoy the first two sessions, that's okay! There's no pressure to stay on at any point.
If your child has vomited or had diarrhea within 48 hours of a session, please do not attend the session and let us know you're not attending due to illness.
This is just so that we do not spread any illnesses around through our sessions.
All our Facilitators have enhanced DBS checks and experience working with young people.
